Google Safe Search

Are you concerned about what is searched for on your computer or on your families computer?

Well Google have improved their safe search option.

If you have a Google account ( a Gmail account ) you can now lock down the search options on your computer so you can restrict searches on explicit text and images.

So how do you do this?

On your google home page you are looking for the search settings

Search settings

Click on this and that will take you to Google preferences

Go down the page and you will see Safe Search Filtering

Safe search

You then click on lock safe search and sign into your google account on the right of the page

You will then be asked to save your preferences

Lock safe search

You must now click on Lock safe search

Lock safe search part 2

You will then see the above screen which takes a few moments to finish and then you have activated safe search.

Safe search final

When you search now you will see above screen with the coloured balls on it.

If the colored balls are not there it means that safe search has been turned off , or your computer is not signed into Google.
