Which Antivirus Should You Buy ?

If you can afford an antivirus there is only one I would recommend Nod 32 which is available from ESET

It will sit quietly in the background doing it's job.

If you cannot afford an antivirus then use the FREE Microsoft Security Essentials

I currently do not recommend:

  • Norton
  • McAfee
  • Kaspersky

The reasons:

  • They use too many system resources
  • They dig themselves so deeply into the operating system that unless you have a perfect system and the majority do not ,you will inevitably see issues.
  • If you try and uninstall one of them it usually becomes a nightmare to fully remove them before installing another solution

I am really being kind here , I regularly diagnose issues with clients PCs that have been caused by the 3 listed above , dont like them , wouldnt use them.

Also remember to follow the Golden Rules to prevent Virus/Malware infection.
